Areas of Interest:

Dr. McMullin's research specialization is in ecological genetics, using genetic tools to address ecological and evolutionary questions. As a doctoral student, she assessed levels interbreeding between deep sea chemosynthetic communities at oil seeps in the Gulf of Mexico. Her more recent research involves the conservation genetics of captive cichlid and wild salamander populations.
