Faculty Position in Mathematics
Bard College at Simon's Rock invites applications for a regular full-time appointment in mathematics beginning Fall 2014. A Ph.D. in mathematics or related field is required. Applicants should be able to teach courses ranging from the introductory to the advanced undergraduate level. Preference will be given to applicants who can make connections between mathematics and other disciplines in their teaching and research. We particularly seek those with interests in applied mathematics, although all areas of mathematics and math education will be considered. The College's curriculum emphasizes the liberal arts and sciences and interdisciplinary study, so we seek applications from candidates with wide intellectual interests, an active research program, and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and working with a diverse student population.
