Scholarship Support
News from Alumni Michael Peters ‘76
Dear SR Alum:
This is a banner year for Simon’s Rock alumni. We have reached new levels of support for the college and are making a real difference with our contributions. Many of you received Keith ‘80 and Penny ‘81 Brierley-Bowers’ letter recently, responding generously—thank you! We are close to meeting our goal of 15% alumni participation, and in order to do this by June 30th we need your help.
Just last week a member of the alumni challengers stepped forward to sweeten the deal, with a limited time offer. From now until June 30th, if you make a gift of $25 or more, the Alumni Challengers will match your gift with $200. A gift of $25 becomes $225 for scholarships at the Rock. And if you or your partner has a matching gift program through your employer, your gift can do even more to support current Rockers.
Your participation is important. Grant makers are more likely to provide funds to an institution where participation percentages of giving by alumni are high. In addition, participation percentage is a statistic used when recruiting a potential large donor, and acts as an indication of how important the school and its mission are to past students.
Most of us are in a position to help and give to things that are meaningful to us. Please consider this unique opportunity to leverage your gift toward scholarships at Simon's Rock. To contribute now click here, or for more information on matching gifts or how to make a gift payable by check or phone click here.
Thank you for making a difference by helping a student attend Simon’s Rock.
