Exhibitions at the Daniel Arts Center
Each year the Daniel Arts Center invites an artist to use the large lobby areas for site-specific installations. The downstairs lobby also holds a small exhibition space that is generally reserved for senior thesis exhibitions. Throughout the academic year the long hallways that run along the painting studio (upstairs) and the photography darkrooms and classrooms (downstairs) display student work from current studio arts classes.
Exhibitions within the Daniel Arts Center can generally be viewed from 9-5 daily while classes are in session. Also, the building is often open during the evenings for music and theater performances.
The Daniel Arts Center can most easily be reached from the back entrance to the college. Coming from downtown Great Barrington, follow Alford Road until it begins to go downhill. Soon on the right you will see an entrance with open gates. Turn right here and then take first left into a large parking lot. The Daniel Arts Center main entrance is directly ahead.
