Lois Greenfield: Panoramic Inspirational Dance Frieze
Beckerman Dance Studio at the Daniel Arts Center
Lois Greenfield’s photographs are celebrated for capturing dance in vivid and evocative ways. Her work is exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide. However, this series of ten large-scale photographs is her first permanent installation. Beginning in the 1970s as a documentary photographer, Lois became drawn to the expressive potential of dance. Her photographs have created brand images for many dance companies such as David Parsons, Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham.
Panoramic Inspirational Dance Frieze is an artistic collaboration between Lois Greenfield and Mark W. Beckerman, created for and dedicated to Susan Ballenzweig Beckerman, member of the Bard College at Simon's Rock Board of Overseers, and parent of Rachel ’96 and Ruth ’03 Ballenzweig.
