This panel questions the future of race relations in America from the perspective of speakers Asma Abbas (professor of Political Science and Philosophy), Tracy Huling (from the Prison Public Memory Project), Hector Ramirez (the Archer Group), Gwendolyn Hampton-VanSant (Founding Director of Multicultural Bridge), and Rev. Drew Paton (St. Peter's Presbyterian Church).

The panel will spark academic conversation on the history of race and racism in our country while referencing current events and topics such as Black Lives Matter, the Confederate Flag, race and gender in everyday media, and the trans movement of color.
