Alumnus, conservative journalist, author, and scholar, John McWhorter published his piece “On the Content of His Character” in The New Republic on October 16. The column considers whether or not race would truly be a factor if Obama lost the election. It later appeared on CBS News. A Senior Fellow at The Manhattan Institute, McWhorter is a columnist for the New York Sun and a lecturer of English and comparative literature at Columbia University. He makes regular media appearances.
