Spring Concert: Simon’s Rock Chorus, Madrigal Singers, and Collegium to perform

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA – Bard College at Simon’s Rock Department of Music presents it annual Spring Concert, featuring the Simon’s Rock Chorus and Madrigal Singers, directed by Jack Brown, and The Simon’s Rock Collegium, directed by Lucy Bardo. The program will feature the premier of Livingston Hall Chair in Music Larry Wallach’s composition “I Thank You God” with lyrics from the E. E. Cummings poem “i thank you God for most this amazing day,” performed by the Chorus. It also includes choral literature from different eras, madrigal pieces in English, German, and French, and early instrumental music with recorders and viols.
Scott Baily will be the accompanist for the Chorus. The concert will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kellogg Music Center. It is free and open to the public.
