Security Department

Simon’s Rock Security is concerned with the safety of all who study, work and live on campus. Security personnel patrol the campus and its buildings nightly, checking for potential safety and fire hazards providing a safe and secure environment that is conducive to learning and consistent with the educational goals of this institution.

The Security Department is service oriented and available to assist all members of the college community, and will:

• Offer assistance and information to students
• Ensure the safety and security for all people on campus
• Provide protection to the campus community for loss or damage to personal and college property
• Maintain public order and for enforce campus regulations and policies
• Handle emergency situations for the college community
• Take the names of students found breaking rules
• Issue warnings for motor vehicle violations
  

Security personnel patrol the campus 24/7 during the academic year.

In the event of an emergency situation, to report any incident that appears suspicious or to report any crimes students should immediately call 7291 or page security at 413 292-7409. Security officers will contact emergency responders and will provide mutual aid if necessary.
