Bard College at Simon's Rock: the Early College

Lorca / Bernarda Alba

Friday, April 12

Daniel Arts Center

Join us as we explore the world of Federico Garcia Lorca through the lens of his play The House of Bernarda Alba. In this devised theater piece, faculty Aimée K. Michel (director), Kati Garcia Renart (flamenco dancer and choreographer), and John Myers (composer and guitarist) lead a company of student performers in a journey through Lorca's poetic theatrical vision. His timely work confronts challenging issues of fascism and the suppression of love and the individual.

There will be three performances:

Fri., April 12, 7:30-9:00 p.m.
