Liebowitz Center for International Studies
Join us for an evening of time-lapse photography with a bonfire and open mic. The photography presentation, BEHOLD, is a cross-disiplinary project encouraging a sense of wonder about trees in our urban enviornment. Photographer Kristin Jones will initiate a 24-hour time-lapse photography process, capturing multiple perspectives of the white oak tree on the campus of Bard College at Simon's Rock. During Kristin's presentation, all are invited to join a bonfire gathering lasting late into the night, as well as an open mic at 7:00 p.m. (with hot chocolate for all!). Kristin will be available to discuss her work throughout the night.
This fun evening is presented as part of the weekend-long White Oak Tree Celebration, a time to raise awareness about the formidable 260-year-old tree on the campus of Bard College at Simon's Rock. The event is hosted by Daniel's Art Party at Simon's Rock, an exploration of progressive multimedia and community engagement.
Additional White Oak Tree Celebration events include:
White Oak Tree Celebration: Part 1: Fri., May 10, 5:00 p.m.
White Oak Tree Celebration: Part 3: Sat., May 11, 1:00 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
