Karen Beaumont Memorial

We mourn the loss of Karen Beaumont, professor of Theater, who was part of the Simon's Rock community for 30 years. For the past three decades, Karen was the heart of our theater program, inspiring Rockers to create, act, and live life passionately. As an actor and director with Shakespeare & Company and elsewhere, her contributions to the intellectual and cultural life of our greater community are immeasurable. In her actions, in her work, in her profound generosity, she taught us about the possibilities within our movement, breath, and voice. Her strength in hardship has long been an inspiration to many of us, and we are all richer for having known her.
