BIFF Environmental Series: The Pollinators

BIFF Environmental Film Focus series presents The Pollinators, a documentary film by Peter Nelson and Sally Roy. The Pollinators is a cinematic journey around the United States following migratory beekeepers and their truckloads of honey bees as they pollinate the flowers that become the fruits, nuts, and vegetables we all eat. The filmmakers talk to farmers, scientists, chefs, economists, and academics along the way to give a broad perspective about the threats to honey bees and what it means for our food security.

Following the screening, join us for a reception and Q&A with BIFF’s Lillian Lennox, director Peter Nelson, executive producer Sally Roy, Maryann Tebben of the Simon's Rock Center for Food Studies, and Vivian Orlowski for Housatonic Heritage. This event is presented as a part of the Berkshire International Film Festival Environmental Film Focus series in partnership with the Center for Food Studies. 

FREE to BIFF REEL Friends and Simon’s Rock students and faculty. $10 for Soon-to-Be REEL Friends. Admission includes film, Q&A, and reception following the film. Doors open at 2:30 and the film begins at 3:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the event or at biffma.org.
