Images & Maps:

  • ARTstor: More than 1.9 million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences from outstanding museums, photo archives, photographers, scholars, and artists.
  • A to Z Maps: More than 145,000 maps.

Print Sources: Can be found in the Library Catalog.

  • At the bottom of the search screen, refine your search by limiting to items in the Reference Collection. Then enter broad search terms relevant to your topic into one of the keyword search boxes.
  • For example, if you're looking for tertiary/reference sources related to mythology, you might enter myth* as your search, which will find all the sources that mention myth, myths, mythology, mythological, etc.

Online Sources:

  • Bard College, Stevenson Library: If you need to use electronic resources available from the Stevenson Library, contact us or plan a visit to the Annandale campus.
  • Boston Public Library: The Boston Public Library makes many of its electronic resources available to anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Massachusetts through their free eCard program.
  • UMass Amherst Libraries: While you cannot use the UMass Amherst Libraries' electronic resources from the Simon's Rock campus, you can visit the Amherst campus and do your searching on site.
