Save the Date for Reunion 2023

We are excited to announce the 2023 Alumni Reunion Dates: Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4.

We look forward to welcoming alumni back to campus to reconnect with your Simon’s Rock community! All classes of Simon’s Rock alumni are invited to join us for an in-person celebration on the Simon’s Rock campus.


Friday, June 2

2:00 pm – 6:30 pm, Blodgett Oak Room
(If you arrive late for registration, please check in at Campus Safety in the Livingston Hall Student Union.)

Reunion Mixer
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, White House
All reunion classes are invited for cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres at the Provost’s Residence. Reconnect with classmates and join in with an interactive photobooth. There will be a welcome toast and brief remarks at 5:45 pm.

50th Reunion Dinner
6:45 pm – 8:00 pm, Blodgett Dining Room
Members of the classes of 1966–1972 are invited to join the Class of 1973 to celebrate their 50th Reunion at a dinner in Blodgett House. This is a ticketed event.

Movie Night at the Pool
8:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Kilpatrick Athletic Center
We’ve brought the movie theater to the Kilpatrick Athletic Center... in the pool! Bring your swimsuits, friends, and family to watch Surf’s Up! Bonus: enjoy a cocktail or (mocktail)!

Get to know the Center for Food and Resilience (CFaR)
10:00 am – 11:30 am, CFaR
Professor Maryann Tebben leads us in an overview and tour of the Center for Food and Resilience, Simon’s Rock’s new center dedicated to exploring sustainable ways of living, the future of food and agriculture, and community connections. At 10:30 am, you can get your hands dirty at the farm. You’ll harvest, clean, and assemble salads for the celebratory lunch to follow.

CFaR Grand Opening and Celebratory Lunch
11:30 am – 12:30 pm, CFaR
Celebrate the grand opening of the Center for Food and Resilience. Join us for the ribbon cutting with brief remarks by Provost John B. Weinstein. Then stick around for lunch; sandwiches are provided by Gould Farm, and Iced Tea provided by Extra Special Teas.

Bring something to show and tell from your time at Simon’s Rock! And if you’re willing, consider donating your item to the Library archives.

Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Community (CEIC) Open House
12:20 pm – 1:30 pm, CDIC
Meet Simon’s Rock Dean of Equity and Inclusion, Dr. Sarah Porter-Liddell, and learn more about the new Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Community. Light refreshments to be served. The CEIC is a campus-wide resource that opened in the Fall of 2022, with a particular focus on our students of color and affinity student organizations — a space where they can unwind and focus on what they need to thrive in a community. 

Saturday, June 3

Leading a Campus of Innovation: A Conversation with John B. Weinstein and Chloe Demrovsky ’01
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Kellogg Music Center
Join Provost John B. Weinstein and Board of Overseer Chloe Demrovsky ’01 for a conversation about Simon’s Rock as an innovator and looking toward the future of those innovations. John will reflect on the future of the College, connecting to his personal experiences at Simon’s Rock and as a leader in education.

Alumni Panel hosted by Anne O’Dwyer
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Kellogg Music Center
Moderated by Anne O’Dwyer, this interactive discussion provides a moment for alumni to reflect on the role Simon’s Rock has played in their respective careers and lives over time. Particularly post-pandemic, we’ll look at issues related to work/life balance and welcome questions and observations from all in attendance.

Alumni Remembrance
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm, Kellogg Music Center
Please join us in a moment to remember our alumni friends who are no longer with us. We invite you to bring your memories to share. Featuring Catherine Schane-Lydon ’80 on piano.

Reunion Dinner
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Daniel Arts Center
All classes are invited to a celebratory reunion dinner in the Daniel Arts Center. Join us for cocktails, dinner, and a chance to connect with your fellow alumni. This is a ticketed event.

Music around the fire pit!
7:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Behind Dining Hall
Bring your instruments and join us for s’mores around the fire pit. BYOI (instruments) and BYOB! In case of inclement weather, we’ll have a jam session in the Black Box at the Daniel Arts Center.
