Metathesis: A Theatrical Chemistry Lesson

Metathesis: A Theatrical Chemistry Lesson is the application of senior Georges Pichard's thesis work on the stage. Since the beginning of the year, Pichard has been researching the different theatrical elements that good teachers either knowingly or unknowingly draw upon to enrich their science classes; he is now ready to demonstrate his findings by teaching his own chemistry lesson on metathesis. In performing this piece, Pichard hopes to explore the relationship between acting and the teaching of science so as to develop and hone his own pedagogical style. Pichard will be repeating this performance in a true classroom environment later in April to build upon his findings.

The performance will take place in the Black Box theater on February 16th and 17th at 6:00PM and will last for approximately 45 minutes.
