Brown Bag Lunch: Responsible Tourism
Monday, February 25, 2019
Alumni Library
Thesising senior Coco Raymond will lead a Brown Bag Lunch on responsible tourism:
Have you ever visited Cape Cod? Have a family vacation house there? Think you might want to go someday? Just interested in history, land politics, or economics? Cape Cod has a reputation for being a popular vacation destination, but there is a lot more history and culture there than most people know about. Tourism, second homeownership, and retirement in Cape Cod are what Cape Cod is most known for, and also what may end up destroying the area entirely. Come talk to a local about what it means to be a Cape Codder, what the vacation industry is doing to us, and how exactly to be a responsible tourist.
All are welcome!
This event is free and open to the public. ACE credit available for students.
