Bard College President Offers Opinion on Campus Free Speech
“The debate that rages now over free speech is not constructive. It is frightening.”
This is what Bard College President Leon Botstein said in an opinion piece for The Chronicle of Higher Education, which can be read in its entirety on the publication’s website.
The Chronicle piece was adapted from a talk President Botstein gave in June at Central European University, titled “Academic Freedom: the Threat Within.” He is chairman of the board of trustees at the university.
