Simon’s Rock Senior Attends American Speech Language and Hearing Convention

Simon’s Rock senior Helen Cohen attended the 2023 American Speech Language and Hearing (ASHA) convention for research for her ongoing Senior thesis with funding from her Senior Award. Cohen is studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and shares that the connections and opportunities at this conference were “incredible!”

The Senior thesis is a key part of the Simon’s Rock academic experience. This thesis is a year-long, self-designed scholarly project that is the capstone of a student’s work. The completed work is bound into a book, signed by the college provost, and kept in the campus library for perpetuity.
