This is an American Red Cross Lifeguard class that uses the blended learning lesson plan for pool lifeguard certification. This method lets the student study the material on their own with supplemental practice of the skills done at the Kilpatrick pool. This method of training provides for a quicker completion of the course. Successful candidates are eligible for employment as pool lifeguards.

Through classroom work and practical applications in the pool; you will learn how to teach non-swimmers from three years old and up how to swim. Aqua energizer is a class for people of all ages and activity levels. The focus is on working the body, mind, and spirit via simple and engaging exercises that make the most out of how water can both free and support our whole selves. Class begins with a 20 minute warm-up in the shallow end followed by a 20 minute blast of faster-paced aerobic exercises. The class finishes in the deep end working with flotation devices. People are encouraged to work at their own pace and adjust any of the exercises to meet their own needs. This class is friendly, dynamic, and really fun!
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Watch as your aches and pains disappear like magic in this fun, energizing workout. Regardless of your fitness level, you will leave the pool feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready for your day. This class utilizes the deep and shallow ends of the pool and includes both a cardio element and postural exercises designed to improve your balance and flexibility. Channel your inner Esther Williams and let the magic of the water work on you!
Mondays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Enjoy a full hour of total body exercise as we explore the benefits of working out in the water. We start with a warm-up, followed by 30 minutes of cardio in the shallow end to get our hearts pumping while supporting our bone health with gentle impact running and bouncing. The last 30 minutes of class are spent in the deep end using flotation devices and working on muscle-specific exercises that benefit from the water's resistance. We work both sets of all opposing muscle groups all while strengthening our core. This class is fun, social, open to all levels, and encourages participants to work at their own pace.
Wednesdays, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
This is a broad water fitness program taught by various instructors all offering their unique skills, knowledge, experience, and love of exercising in the water. Come and join the experience!

Join this fun and engaging workout and reap the benefits of water exercise! Using both the shallow and deep ends of the pool we will explore a cardio circuit to get our heart rate up and pumping and follow that with a routine of muscle-specific exercises for strengthening and conditioning

This ongoing program is open to adults who like to swim! From dedicated fitness swimmers to competitive athletes, experience the motivation of swimming with other people who are as excited about swimming as you. No preregistration required, just show up to practice and enjoy.
