In addition to the full-time staff listed here, classes are taught by the Kilpatrick’s extensive regional network of highly-qualified yoga teachers, fitness professionals, and aerobics instructors. With decades of experience, they’re committed to the Kilpatrick community.
Originally from Methuen, MA, Dave’s first full-time fitness management job was in
1988 as the Fitness Director at Route 1 Racket & Fitness Center in Saugus, MA. Since
then, Dave has traveled across the United States acquiring over 20 years of experience
in personnel and facility management. Dave holds a B.A in Political Science from Merrimack
College and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University.
He is certified by the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials
(IAABO) and licensed as a Massachusetts Youth Soccer coach. As an avid soccer player
and coach, Dave brings over a decade of experience at the youth, high school, and
collegiate level where he continues to foster development of life skills including
perseverance, teamwork, responsibility, ethics, and communication.
A native of New York, Bill moved to the Berkshires in 1994 and started the South County
Falcons Swim Team at the Eden Hill pool in Stockbridge. In two years, he grew the
team from 14 swimmers to 57 swimmers. Bill started SwimAmerica of Western Massachusetts
a year later, and began utilizing pools throughout the Southern Berkshires. As the
Swim & Aquatic Safety Coordinator, he heads up the Swim America swim lesson program
and teaches the lifeguard and SwimAmerica instructor training courses. He also serves
as both the Pace/Makers Masters Swim Team coach and the Bard College at Simon’s Rock
Llama’s swim team coach. Bill is an avid surfer and cyclist, a Certified Pool Operator,
Program Director of SwimAmerica of Western Massachusetts, and holds a B.A in English
Education from SUNY Albany.
Steve is a Simon’s Rock alumnus and Berkshire native who has worked in the premier
health centers of the Berkshires as a front desk clerk, front desk manager, membership
director, and office manager since 1997, joining the Kilpatrick Athletic Center management
team in 2003. He continues his education in music, film, graphic art, and theater.
Originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas, Paul has been a staff member at the Kilpatrick
Athletic Center since the opening of the facility in 1999. With a background in visual
arts, Paul first came to Simon’s Rock in 1994 as a part time photography and darkroom
assistant after spending a number of years in Manhattan working for various galleries
and artist’s studios. He soon migrated over to the Athletic Center where he continues
to enjoy the busy atmosphere of the community.
