Bard College at Simon's Rock: the Early College

Affording Simon’s Rock

Working together to put a one-of-a-kind opportunity in your reach

For many students, Simon’s Rock is much more than an “option”—it’s the “where have you been all my life” answer.

The opportunities, the quality of the attention, and the focus on your intellectual interests and abilities are unlike anything you’ll experience anywhere else. We’re committed to working closely with your family, and helping you discover ways to put a Simon’s Rock education within your reach.

Your research is also bound to turn up some variation on this phrase: “an education is an investment in your future.” By contrast, we believe that Simon’s Rock is an investment in accelerating your future. Starting college two years earlier, and in the amazing environment we offer, is a huge advantage—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and professionally. And it’s an advantage that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

About 80 percent of Simon’s Rock students receive a financial aid package—usually a combination of awards, grants, and loans. In addition to need- and merit-based awards, students are eligible to apply for federal and state aid, as well as any funding that may be available through private scholarships offered through local organizations.

Dates and Deadlines

To be considered for admission and the fullest possible funding, apply for financial aid at the same time you are applying for admission. Applications typically receive a response within 6-8 weeks after the admissions application is complete. A financial aid package will follow the admission decision as long as all forms are complete.
