GLOBAL CLIMATE SHARING CIRCLE
Facilitators: International Students Club
7:00 pm EST
Under the increasing effect of globalization, we feel a stronger than ever connection with one another around the world that goes across geographical and cultural boundaries. Inversely, such a strong network also enlarges social, economic, and environmental problems from a local scale to a global one, calling for a formation of a more collaborative and inclusive world community. Centered at the topic of climate change, the International Students Club from Simon's Rock invites you to join us at the Global Climate Sharing Circle that recognizes the different climate situations around the world and different local coping strategies; discusses the interrelation of climate change with politics, economy, technology, culture both within countries and among countries; as well as explore the potential directions to solutions and actions one can take one. To help better prepare for a more interesting and in-depth discussion, we recommend thinking about your individual personal experience related to climate change beforehand. Come share your thoughts and unique stories. All are warmly welcomed as participants, audiences, sharers, and/or listeners. This event is open to all of Simon’s Rock and the Berkshire and OSUN communities.
