Simon’s Rock Visiting Faculty in Literature and poet Fiona Wilson completed a residency at the Eliot House in Gloucester, MA last October 2023. The Eliot House is the former summer home of T.S. Eliot, the groundbreaking Modernist author. The house now functions as a retreat and host for poets, playwrights, and essayists invited by referral only.
During Wilson’s time at the Eliot House, she used the opportunity to advance her current project, a book of poems about oil, family, and history. Fiona Wilson is the author of A Clearance (The Sheep Meadow Press, 2015). Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals and in several anthologies on both sides of the Atlantic, including Poetry Review, Edinburgh Review, The Antigonish Review, Literary Imagination, and New Writing Scotland.
