Student Transportation

Getting Around

Downtown Great Barrington is not far from campus — a moderate walk or bike ride, or a short drive. You can always hop on the regional bus service. The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) bus makes hourly loops around Great Barrington and stops regularly at Simon’s Rock. We’ll also work with you to get you to your local internship, worship service, or volunteer activities.

Students may have cars on campus after completing their first two semesters. Vehicles must be registered and all drivers are subject to state and campus regulations found in our Student Handbook .

General College Transportation

In addition to a regular campus shuttle, the college provides transportation for students to a variety of academic and recreational events, select standardized tests, internships, volunteer placements, and some medical appointments.

College employees can make these arrangements with the Transportation Request Form.

Break Shuttles

Students can reserve a seat on shuttles to and from area transportation hubs.

Area Religious Services

Transportation to local places of worship is provided. We encourage students interested in exploring faith-based communities in our area to contact these local communities for more information and scheduled services. If you need assistance please contact the campus life office at 413-528-7321.

Transportation to Upper Campus

For students going between upper and lower campus, a campus shuttle is available from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm Monday – Friday and 11:00 am to 11:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. The shuttle stops at the bottom of Fox Run at Lake Mansfield Rd., Pibly House, and the Student Union.
