The Spanish & Latin American Studies Program offers a wide range of classes in language, literature, and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. All AA students are required to take two semesters of one world language at the beginning or intermediate level, or one semester at the 206-level or above. For the BA concentration in Spanish & Latin American Studies, students take at least eight credits of 300-level coursework and are strongly encouraged to study abroad. Simon’s Rock faculty typically lead study trips abroad every other year. The Spanish & Latin American Studies Program lies within the Division of Languages and Literature.
The Spanish and Latin American Studies Program consists of three full-time faculty members who are passionate about language learning, travel, and their scholarly activities.
