Biography

Post-doctoral Fellow, University of Glasgow
Ph.D. in Geophysics, MIT
B.A. (summa cum laude) in Geophysics, Columbia University

Dr. Bergman is the recipient of fellowships from the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA, and NATO. He has published papers, some with student coauthors, in Geophysical and Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics, Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors, Metallurgical and Materials Transactions, Nature, Geophysical Research Letters, Journal of Geophysical Research, and Journal of Crystal Growth.Dr. Bergman has been a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University and a Visiting Professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon in France. He is the Instructor in Volcanology with the Tropical Studies Signature Program on Montserrat and has been teaching at Simon's Rock since 1994.
