June 2024 Workshop Series
The Early College Research Institute presents a series of workshops focused on pedagogical strategies and techniques for the Early College classroom. All events will be held on campus at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, either in the Dining Hall or the Student Union.
Wednesday, June 12th, 12:30 – 2:30 pm, Dining Hall
Designing a Syllabus and Course for Transferability — Ken Knox
This interactive session will focus on exploring course assessment and design methods
in a way that support tailoring, responsiveness, and adaptation, but also supports
transferability. The discussion will include review of sample syllabi, common evaluation
questions and processes for credit transfer, and common college distribution requirements.

Cultivating Curiosity in the Classroom Using the Question Formulation Technique —

No cost for participation. Stipends are available for Early College educators, and lunch will be provided.
