Whether you are an academy student, college student, or graduate, we have support specific to your needs.
In the spring of your second year at Bard Academy, you’ll have the chance to reflect on the work you’ve accomplished and begin your transition into the College with support from the Bard Academy dean, and the academic transitions advisor.
Start with what matters to you. Get involved, talk to people, find clubs and activities to explore, and engage your community in ways that spark your interest.
If you are planning to take the ACT, SAT or high school equivalency exam (HiSET), we offer transportation to testing sites each semester—once in the early fall, once in spring. Contact us for up-to-date information about deadlines and the registration process.
The Sophomore Planning Process starts in the fall. Roundtable discussions and workshops offer diverse perspectives on the Simon’s Rock BA program, study away opportunities and the transfer process. You’ll meet with the Academic Transition Advisor individually to begin to craft your plan for completion of the BA.
We offer additional support to juniors studying and working off campus, and encourage everyone to find experiences that complement and inspire the individualized program of study they have developed with faculty.
In the fall, explore graduate programs, fellowships, and gap year options. Throughout the year, we offer guidance to help you connect with alumni, develop important career skills and strategies, and put together strong applications for work and graduate study.
We recognize the importance of your moments of transition and we encourage you to find thoughtful, informed, and creative approaches to taking on new challenges at each step.
