They invite you join them for a concert and discover music in the making!

THE PROGRAM
This October, TŌN will be sharing their unique vision and training in the McConnell theater at Simon's Rock, presenting three separate pieces intended to take the audience on a contiguous journey starting with the dark and sad world of Sibelius' Valse triste. Next, listeners are invited to fall into the more humorous side of the monstrous world of Frankenstein!! composed by Heinz Karl Gruber. TŌN ends its program with a journey back though the dark, but guides us through to the joyous ending of Haydn's Symphony No. 104, London.  These pieces can be sampled HERE.

The program will be conducted by James Bagwell, associate conducter of TŌN and principle guest conductor of the American Symphony Orchestra. Bagwell's career as a conductor includes a tenure from 2009 - 15 as music director of The Collegiate Chorale where he conducted a number of operas-in-concert at Carnegie Hall and the New York premiere of Philip Glass’ Toltec Symphony and Golijov’s Oceana. Frakenstein!! will feature a special appearance by baritone Nathaniel Sullivan, a 2016 winner of the Bard College Conservatory Concerto Competition.
