Join the Economics Society in hosting a Skype discussion about nonprofit finance and impact investing with Bard College at Simon’s Rock alum and board member Rodney Christopher!

At this event, Christopher will explain the work he does and describe how he got to where he is today. Christopher's talk will be followed by a discussion on nonprofit finance and impact investing, as well as a Q&A.

Rodney Christopher, currently a Senior Consultant at Fiscal Management Associates, has almost 20 years of experience in non-profit consulting and impact investing, working three years at the Heron Foundation and 15 years at the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF). At the Heron Foundation, Christopher managed Heron’s endowment, making and monitoring financial investments, including grants in enterprises and funds that yield net positive contributions to society. At the NFF, he developed his nonprofit consulting practice serving as a consultant to more than 400 nonprofits and 80 grantmaking foundations across 30 states and several sectors. He also raised and managed a $10 million fund to help New York City recover from the economic effects of September 11th. Aside from his work in the nonprofit sector, he has served on the boards of the Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Gay Men of African Descent, Simon’s Rock Alumni Association, and many others. Christopher is also a published author and figure in television production.

Rodney Christopher holds a MS in urban policy analysis and management from The New School, and graduated from Simon’s Rock’s BA program summa cum laude.
