The Social Studies Division's Proseminar in Social Scientific Inquiry for the fall semester 2018, "W.E.B. Du Bois and the Color Line: Race, Power, and Politics," (taught by Francisca Oyogoa and Justin Jackson) invites you to attend a lecture by Erika Williams, associate professor at Emerson College. Erika specializes in modernist and contemporary African American literature. She focuses on theories of race, gender, and sexuality; on formations of cultural and personal identity; and on intersections and tensions between aesthetics and politics.

Erika's talk, titled "Versions of Double Consciousness, Subversions of Passing, and Queer Africana Imaginings," will take place on Monday, November 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Blodgett House.

This event is free and open to the public.
