The Center for Food Studies presents a screening of El Cacao, a documentary about indigenous cacao farmers in Panama and their connection to the global chocolate market and Fair Trade. Guest speaker David Kelly from the Berkshire Food Coop will speak about his experience living and working with Peruvian cacao and coffee farmers in the Amazon who sell their fair trade crops with Equal Exchange. David will also explain how the Coop sources its Fair Trade coffee and chocolate.
The event is free and open to the public. ACE credit available for students.
