The contributor training provides an overview of the marketing and branding foundations that the website is built upon, guides contributors through the documentation and tools that are used to make edits, and is an opportunity to discuss and answer questions.

  • Facilitate the process of making web changes for everyone on campus

Website Foundation

How-To

The How-To section provides instruction on carrying out tasks within the OmniUpdate CMS.

  • Log In, view the dashboard, and information architecture
  • Submit Changes and Request New Pages
  • Recommendation: log-in and change password within 24 hours

Basic Edit

  1. Edit existing content
  2. Workflow and approvals
  3. Recommendation: practice this within 24 hours
  4. Build on the basics using the Guide 

Design Patterns

  • Employ Patterns for consistent and effective messaging
  • Recommendation: practice adding and adjusting patterns
