Encourage prospective students to provide an address by asking them with a follow up form immediately after initial form submission.
There are several business reasons that make inquiries with an address more useful to the Admission Department than inquiries with only email addresses. We tried making address required, and found that it reduced total inquiries while only slightly raising addresses.
After a prospective student completes the Request for Information form, they are invited to include their address. The follow up form includes a mailed offer.
After first 45 days of testing, address submissions increased significantly.
The address follow up form can only be used on pages that don't already contain an incentive. Many of the landing pages encourage users to fill out the lead generation form in order to view a video or access materials.
With the implementation of the Slate forms, we are replacing the contact checkboxes. The enticement is being included in the first checkbox: instead of asking for address we are stating: "Send me the Simon's Rock fact book" which reveals address fields.
